Get Involved

There are many ways to get involved with and support our work.

Volunteering

******* I am looking for skilled volunteers for Autumn 2018 ********

Skills needed include:

  • Building, carpentry, woodwork, plumbing
  • Land clearance, strimming, digging swales
  • Forestry work including chainsawing (if you are qualified and have your own insurance)

If you don't have these skills but are familiar with tools, strong and willing there may also be a place for you.

I ask for a minimum 1 month commitment and 6 hours work 5 days a week.

If you have none of the above skills there also may be a place for you paying a contribution of €5 a day. Or if you prefer less work hours you can be a supporting volunteer and work 3 hours a day, 5 days a week and pay 25€ a day. See the Volunteer page in this section for more details.

Courses

We run day and weekend courses through the summer related to our work and philosophy. Check out the ‘Courses’ section here and be sure to sign up to our newsletter to stay informed.

We are in the process of becoming a registered non-profit Association. We invite anyone who would like to support our work to become a member. Membership costs only €30 and entitles you to attend and vote at our Annual General Meetings.

Land-management and Land purchase schemes

There is a great potential for passionate investors to help us reforest the land here. We are developing schemes whereby investors can buy land and pay for us to create a beautiful diverse forest to replace the monoculture. Or simply buy land to donate to the Project.

There are always tools, materials and equipment that we need. Please see the Wish List in this section for more details.

One-off or regular donations

We are always happy to receive one-off or regular donations to help us build infrastructure to host volunteers, to support volunteers time, to buy forestry tools, to purchase trees and to buy land to reforest.

Many people have asked us how they can help in the wake of the fires and all we have lost. We are very touched and grateful for these offers of support. Here are some ways you can help:

We have started building the second floor of the workshop!! This will be our last major build here and will provide a dormitory and meditation/workshop room which will increase our capacities for events and hosting people, especially outside of the summer months.
I am passionate about building with round wood because it simply makes so much sense.
